Diwali Celebrations 2021

Diwali Celebrations 2021

What Diwali Teaches Us?

Diwali means a Row of Lights. It is one of the most important Hindu Festivals and is celebrated all over the world by not only Hindus, but other ethnic groups as well. Diwali is a time to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. It teaches us to share sweets (sweetness) with others and that we should consider everyone equally. Diwali is the festival which makes people aware that sharing and making someone happy is what humanity is and it is what every religion teaches us. Widely observed among more than a billion people from a variety of faiths across the world, the five days of Diwali are marked by prayer, feasts, fireworks, family gatherings, and charitable giving. For some, Diwali is also the beginning of a new year. May this and every Diwali spread light in every individual’s heart and may it spread sweetness in our soul. A Very Happy Diwali to all from the Staff and Management of Ba Town Council! Hope you have a bright and wonderful celebration. May your life be as colorful, shimmering and magical as the lights of Diwali and may the gleam of diya’s enlighten your spirit and vanquish darkness from your life.
